Bates County Memorial Hospital February Employee of the Month

DONEDA SWENSON is recognized as the Bates County Memorial Hospital Employee of the Month for February, 2020. Doneda began her employment in November, 2015. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Doneda has more than 30 years of experience in the field. During a nuclear medicine study, Doneda administers a radioactive material to the patient called a radiopharmaceutical. The nuclear cameras can detect the radiation concentrated in the organ. This allows the radiologist to study the structure, measure the function of the organ and to identify tumors, areas of infection or other disorders. The radiation dose is small, and the patient experiences little or no discomfort during the procedure. Doneda is an excellect tech with a great work ethic, always providing quality patient care. The hospital is proud to honor Doneda as Employee of the Month.
