Bates County Museum: August 20, 2022, Saturday, 10:30 am / “Quantrill’s Raid on Lawrence: Revisiting the Evidence.” Missouri author Chris Edwards will discuss his most recent book and will have them for sale.
This program is presented on the eve of the 159th anniversary of Quantrill’s raid. Chris has devoted years to researching the Civil War history of this area and is a well-respected author, speaker, and musician. Plan to attend and learn about this pivotal event that lead to the issuance of General Orders No. 11 one week after the raid. A free-will donation lunch will follow.
