The Bates County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports from people in our community who are receiving phone calls from an individual claiming to be a Detective with the Bates County Sheriff’s Office.
This individual demands you to pay a certain amount of money or a warrant will be issued for your arrest.
This is a scam. Bates County Sheriff’s office does not contact anyone by phone requesting money.
