Belton: Officer Involved Shooting update

UPDATE 05/18/2020 – Today the Cass County Prosecutor charged William D. Mallow, 54, Belton with 2 counts of Class A Felony of Assault 1st Degree or Attempt – Serious Physical Injury or Special Victim.  Bond is set at $250,000.00 cash only.

Mr. Mallow is currently hospitalized at a Kansas City area hospital.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton. In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
