Bates County Memorial Hospital will host a Blood Drive with Community Blood Center on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. The drive will be located in the BCMH Education Center on the east end of the hospital. Donors are asked to enter the drive at the Education Center.
Appointments are preferred for the drive, but walk-ins will be permitted if capacity permits. Donating blood is safe and it only takes one hour. We are taking extra precautions to help prevent the person-to-person spread of COVID-19. CBC staff are also practicing health self-assessments prior to presenting at work and wearing masks throughout their workday. As always, people are not eligible to donate if they are experiencing a cold, sore throat, respiratory infection or flu-like symptoms.
Sign up for the drive online. Visit https://donate.savealifenow.org/donor/schedules/sponsor_code and click enter the code KCBS.
On the day of the Blood Drive, donors should eat, be well hydrated and bring a donor ID, donor ID, or a photo ID.
