Bright Futures seeking donations for weekend food program
Bright Futures Harrisonville’s Food 4 Thought Weekend Food Program has supported families in the community since 2009. The program provides weekend food to children in need to cover the gap when school breakfast and lunch are not available.
The program relies completely on the generosity and volunteer efforts of the community. The program’s annual budget is approximately $15,000.
At the beginning of December, Bright Futures kicked off the 2021 giving campaign to support the Food 4 Thought Program. The goal is to raise $7,500 by December 31.
You can provide food for one child for one month with a gift of $20. A gift of $115 would feed that same child for six months or $175 would feed the child for the entire school year.
To make an online gift, go to this link – https://harrisonvillepublicschoolfoundation.networkforgood.com/projects/145555-2021-food-4-thought-backpack-program-support. Donations can also be mailed or dropped off at 503 S. Lexington, Harrisonville, MO 64701. All checks should be made to Bright Futures Harrisonville. Any and all gifts are appreciated and will make a difference in our children’s lives. All contributions are tax deductible and donors will receive a gift receipt for tax purposes.
