Bull Breeding Soundness Exams

El Dorado Springs Veterinary Clinic Event Oct 27th

Patrick Davis, Ph. D. will be working with Dr. Collins of the El Dorado Springs Veterinary Clinic and ZOETIS to do a bull breeding soundness exam clinic at the clinic in El Dorado Springs, Mo. on October 27th

This is the time of year that you need to make sure bulls are reproductively sound, up to date on vaccinations and ready for the upcoming breeding season.

Whether you have your bulls checked at this clinic or with your local veterinarian it is important to ensure bulls are ready to breed during the breeding season.

Turning out a bull with poor fertility can negatively impact your pregnancy rate and calving rate next fall which reduces income and profitability of the cattle operation.

Also, you want the bulls to be properly vaccinated to make sure that they provide good health to the cattle in the operation.

Also, during the clinic at El Dorado Springs Veterinary Clinic there will be education provided on body condition scoring, foot scoring and genetic testing.

To participate contact the El Dorado Springs Veterinary Clinic to setup an appointment for your bulls. Check with veterinarian for potential rebates on booster vaccinations and parasite control due to clinic participation and ZOETIS cooperation. All other questions contact Patrick Davis at the Cedar County MU Extension Center at (417) 995-0287.
