The Butler Aquatic Center is now accepting applications for persons interested in employment at the Butler Aquatic Center. Lifeguard candidates must be 15 years of age by June 1st 2023. Candidates must be or be able to become Red Cross-Certified Lifeguards. Pre-employment and post-employment random drug screening are required by the lifeguard position. You may contact Butler City Hall by calling 660-679-4182 and make arrangements to receive an application or go to www.cityofbutlermo.com to print an application.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
