The Butler Bears Homecoming is set for Friday, September 25th. The parade theme is “ The Bears are out of this World”. Parade entries will lineup at the Butler High School Parking Lot on Fulton Street at 1:30. The Butler Homecoming Parade will start promptly at 2 PM from the High School . Parade officials are asking parade entries to “NOT” through candy. The event is subject to change and masks are highly recommended. The Butler Bears will compete against the Lincoln Cardinals at 7:00 pm from the Butler Sports Complex on Nursery Street.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
