| Butler Bears are heading to the District championship! The Butler Bears will be playing for the Class 2 District 7 Football Championship Friday night, November 13th. The #1 seed Bears will go head to head with the #2 seed Warsaw Wildcats. The game will be played in Butler at the sports complex with kickoff at 7 pm. FM 92.1 will be broadcasting the championship game live so if you are unable to make it to the game, tune-in to FM 92.1 for all the play-by-play, Friday night, championship action. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
