The Butler Parade floats and those entering the contest should be at the Butler High School by 4:30 to be judged. Normal Line up for those wishing to participate in the parade need to be at the Butler High School by 5:15 for the parade line-up. The parade will leave for the square at 6 pm on Saturday, December 3rd. This year’s Parade Marshall is Peggy Buhr the former Director of the Bates County Museum. The Butler Christmas Parade will leave the Butler High School and travel down Fulton Street toward Fort Scott Street.
The parade will then turn right on Fort Scott Street and go past Casey’s toward Delaware Street. The parade will then turn left onto Delaware Street and continue toward the Butler Square.
The Christmas Parade will enter the Butler Square on Delaware street, Between Butler Administration Building and The Bates County Detention Center. The parade will then travel around the square the correct way. The parade will exit the Butler Square on Dakota Street, by The Butler Administration Building, before disbanding.
Santa will make an appearance at the parade and he will then be at his Santa House on the square to greet all the good little boys and girls. If your child is interested in writing a wish list letter to the North Pole, the Santa’s mailbox will be located at the gazebo until December 20th.
