| Easter Services will be held at the Happy Hill Church of God in Butler on Sunday, April 19th. If you do not have a home church and would like to attend worship services with a family church, the Happy Hill Church of God invites you and your family to their Easter Service. New faces are always welcome. Easter Service will begin at 10:50 with Sunday night worship at 6:00 pm. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
