The Annual Butler Lions Club Radio Auction hits the airwaves on Monday, March 27th. This 4-day event offers you the opportunity to purchase merchandise as a fundraiser for the Butler Lions Club. Hundreds of items will be on the auction block during this nightly 2- hour program. Bidding starts at 5 pm from Community First Bank. Call the bank to place your bid by calling 660-679-3135 a Lions club member will take your call and place your bid. Those making purchases may pay for and pick up your voucher on Monday, April 3rd at Community First Bank. Join the Butler Lions Club and 92.1 Radio Station as we share the mic with the Butler Lions Club. The 4-day event runs from March 27th through March 30th. |

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
