The annual Butler Lions Club Auction will be heard live from the studios

of FM 92.1 on the web at www.921news.com. The Butler Lions Club will

offer a live stream and items on the Auction Block may be viewed on the

Butler Lions Club Facebook page. Hear it all March 30^th through April 2^nd

from 5 until 7 pm nightly. The items you donate and purchases will benefit the needs within our community . On-line bidding is available on the Butler Lions Club Facebook page.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton. In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
