In the news today, we feature the 13 year old daughter of Jack and Liz Kisner whose family has lifelong ties to the Butler community.
Robey Kisner is the granddaughter of Jim Robey, Karen Bevins, and Debbie and Danny Kisner, all of Butler, and the great granddaughter of Clyde and Arlene Kisner, also of Butler.
Robey Kisner is a home schooled 7th grader who has found her talent for sports and cake decorating.
We feature 13 year old Robey in our news today after a member of our staff needed a bakery cake. We found Robey by word of mouth and feel her artistic talent and creativity is worthy of a Hometown Hero mention.
This baking adventure took life last October simply on a whim. She has had no formal training, not even 4-H cake decorating. Her success is the product of determination and the pursuit of her dream to have her own bakery when she’s older. She has reached out to accomplished local bakers, Mona Wix and Jeneene Peters for a few baking secrets and is now baking cakes from her parent’s home.
Robey Kisner is very serious about her new found talent. 92.1 will share a few pictures of the cakes on the KMAM KMOE Facebook page and provide a contact number, to place an order.
Robey hopes to soon have her own bakery, with ovens and utensils, to expand her business. We hope that you, as listeners, purchase your next cake from this determined and successful 13 year old girl living in Butler.
Robey is also an accomplished competitive volleyball player for “The Wild Things”. This team ranks 9th out of approximately 150 teams in their division.
