One person lost their life and another was seriously injured in a one-car accident in the early morning hours of September 18th. The accident occurred on 52 West at county road northwest 5001.
Draven Wales age 26 formerly of Butler was pronounced deceased at Research Medical Center in Kansas City and the occupant of the vehicle Dereck Page age 29 of Nevada was seriously injured when the vehicle they were driving traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment that ejected both occupants.
Both persons were transported to Bates County Memorial and then transferred to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
