K9 Champ Meets Governor Greitens
Cass Co – On Wednesday Sheriff Jeff Weber continued his efforts to make changes to current legislation protecting law enforcement animals. Today Sheriff Weber, Deputy Valentich and K9 Champ meet with Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.
“We need to strengthen Missouri’s laws. These K-9s do incredible work on behalf of our people. They are trained, tough dogs, and they help keep Missourians safe. There’s a bill to do that working its way through the legislature now. It’s called “Champ’s Law,” and it’s a bill I support,” stated Greitens.
Sheriff Weber will travel to Jefferson City and testify before the Senate Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee on Thursday. “I am encouraged by the amount of support this bill is getting from across the state. I look forward to working with all of our legislators to see that this bill becomes law,” said Sheriff Jeff Weber.
