Cass County Sheriff’s Office region Training Academy Instructor Corporal Russ Mapes, retired, was recently promoted to the level of National Trainer with the National Law Enforcement Training Center. This level has only been achieved by a handful of instructors and trainers in the country. For more than 42 years, Cpl. Mapes has been instructing LEOs. The academy appreciates all that Cpl.
