Children in Bates County Need Your Help!

The Carpenter Cup of Butler has teamed up with West Central and Walmart in an effort to provide school supplies, backpacks, shoes, and socks for children in need in Bates County.

Project Hand Up will be accepting donations of school supplies and backpack for children of Bates County through the West Central Program and the Carpenter Cup.

Project Hand Up is also asking for Cash donations to purchase shoes and a package of socks for Bates County Kids in need.  This project is possible due to the partnership of Carpenter’s Cup and Walmart.

Prior to the National Pandemic Bates County supplied approximately 240 kids with new shoes and socks. Approximately 100 kids received new backpacks and school supplies.  Bates County’s poverty level is high, and the need is great.  Project Hand Up needs to provide for twice the families this year to reach their goal and make sure no child begins school without shoes, socks, supplies and a backpack.

Donations of school supplies and backpack may be dropped off at Carpenter’s Cup, located at 102 S. Bishop St. in Butler.  Cash donation may be mailed to Project Hand Up/Carpenter’s Cup, 102 S. Bishop St, Butler MO. 64730
