City of Butler Looks to Fill Economic Developer Position

The City of Butler seeks candidates with initiative, sales abilities, creativity. The ideal candidate is a people person adept at building relationships with partners in the community. 
Ideal candidates will have: 
High energy, enthusiasm and passion; Strong communication skills, the ability to think globally and act strategically while demonstrating the talent to tactfully negotiate and “close the deal.” A demonstrated ability to develop a broad network of contacts throughout the city, county and state, and the skill to work with a wide variety of engaged stakeholders including City/County officials and staff, site-selection consultants, ED partners, brokers, developers, and local business owners. Knowledge of the tools available to attract and grow businesses/industries to the area, a working knowledge of topics tangential to traditional economic development, such as entrepreneurial support, workforce development and housing. Residency is preferred, and a high level of community involvement is expected. This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary will start at $30,000.00 with incentives. Pre-employment and random post-employment drug testing required.
