Ideal candidates will have:
High energy, enthusiasm and passion; Strong communication skills, the ability to think globally and act strategically while demonstrating the talent to tactfully negotiate and “close the deal.” A demonstrated ability to develop a broad network of contacts throughout the city, county and state, and the skill to work with a wide variety of engaged stakeholders including City/County officials and staff, site-selection consultants, ED partners, brokers, developers, and local business owners. Knowledge of the tools available to attract and grow businesses/industries to the area, a working knowledge of topics tangential to traditional economic development, such as entrepreneurial support, workforce development and housing. Residency is preferred, and a high level of community involvement is expected. This is truly an opportunity for you to create an exceptional program.
This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary will start at $30,000.00 with incentives. Pre-employment and random post-employment drug testing required. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
