BBC Electrical Services started the bypass project at the Rich Hill substation on Monday, April 13th. They will continue to work on this project through the week. As the project begins, the City of Rich Hill will be sharing the expected outage times. They will limit the durations customers will be without electric service as much as possible. Because of the nature of the project, time slots for power outages were not able to be scheduled beforehand.
Rich Hill city officials spoke with the electrical engineers on April 13th, and they expect this project to last approximately 3 weeks with several outages during the project. Again, as the contractor’s work nears an outage phase and the city of Rich Hill is made aware of the expected time frame for those outages, they will share that information.
