ELIGIBILITY
Employees and families of Bates County Broadcasting Co. their agencies and employees and families of any Radio, Television or Cable Company or its subsidiaries are ineligible to participate in or win the contest; as well as sponsors, their employees and their families. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who is financed, aided, encouraged or prompted by an employee or family member of any Radio, Television or Cable Company or its subsidiaries within 75 miles of Butler, Missouri. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) deems the contest rules were not followed. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com). Contests are void when and where prohibited by law. Contestants can only win once every 14 days per household across all Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com). All contestants, unless otherwise stated in specific rules, must be 18 years old or older to enter. If a contest is open to entrants under the age of 18, and contest winner is under the age of 18, they must present with a legal guardian to sign for the prize.
PRIZES:
All prizes awarded through Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) are non-transferable; nor may a prize be substituted at the request of a contest winner; nor may a prize be substituted for cash. The prize indicated by station personnel to be won in a contest is the only prize awarded and given only to the person who is designated as the winner. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the specified prize offered is unavailable. All prizes awarded by Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) must be claimed within 14 days of the date the prize is won. In some instances, prizes will need to be claimed earlier than 14 days due to expiration of the prize or ticketed event. No substitutions will be made for violation of this 14-day rule. If a winner does not claim his/her prize within the 14-day period, the prize is forfeited, and eligibility restrictions mentioned in these rules still apply to that winner for future contests. All prizes designated for pick-up at Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) studios must be picked up during regular business hours with photo ID.
RELEASE:
Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) and/or sponsor participant(s) in a contest on Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may require a release form to be completed by the winner and any other person or persons involved in accepting a prize. Upon accepting any contest prize from Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) or sponsor(s) participating in a contest on Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com), winner releases Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) and any and all sponsor(s) of any liability or further claims. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may use voice recordings to prevent contest fraud. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) cannot be held liable or responsible for any telephone failures, malfunctions or irregularities during a contest; nor can Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) be held liable for any discrepancies by the U.S. Postal Service or any delivery service or courier involved in delivering prizes, entries or contest information to or from Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) ; nor is Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) to be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information. The decision of the judges is final. All winners are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on prizes received. All entrants agree to grant Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) unlimited use of their name, voice, picture, quotation or facsimile, without consideration, in conjunction with their participation in any given contest.
GENERAL TEXTING CONTEST RULES:
1. For any and all contests with text-message based entry, entrants will be asked through on-air announcements, or via web, or texted message, or emailed message, to provide certain information via a text message submission. Text message entries must meet all requirements set forth in order to be eligible. Winners will be determined in accordance with the criteria set forth in the message in which entries were solicited, and in accordance with general rules set forth here.
2. Text-message based entry into any contest is subject to the on-air contest rules (generic and specific to the contest), generic contest rules, written contest rules applicable specifically to the contest, if any, and the Privacy Policy. 3. All contestants, unless otherwise stated in specific rules, must be 18 years old or older as of the start date of the contest. If a contest is open to entrants under the age of 18, and contest winner is under the age of 18, they must present with a legal guardian to sign for the prize.
4. After Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) contacts the winner via phone and/or text message, the winner will have 24 hours to contact Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) to make arrangements to claim the prize. If winner does not claim the prize within 24 hours of initial contact by Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com), the winner will forfeit the prize. No alternative prize will be substituted and a new winner will be contacted to win the prize.
5. Decisions of Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) management are final. Such decisions may include, but are not limited to, whether an entry adheres to the entry criteria, the time of entry receipt by Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com), the order in which text-message entries are received, the eligibility of the entrant, and, in the event entry requires submission of an answer or response, whether that answer or response is correct. 6. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) will not require the payment of an additional fee to enter any contest in which the means of entry is the submission of a text-message. Standard text-messaging rates, as established by an individual’s wireless carrier, will apply. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) assumes no responsibility for any fees or charges incurred for and associated with any text-message sent to or from Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com). By participating in the contest, entrants agree that Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may contact them, via phone or text-message, at the telephone number from which the text-message entry was received. Any and all fees arising out of the transmission of a text-message shall be the sole responsibility of the entrant.
7. By participating in a contest in which text-message based entry is permitted, entrants acknowledge that text messages are distributed and delivered through third party providers. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) does not guarantee, and shall not be responsible for, the delivery or timeliness of any text-message entry. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) will at all times consider the time that a message is logged as arriving in its system as being the time of entry, regardless of the time at which the entrant attempted to send the entry and any technical problems or other complications that may have delayed its delivery. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com), through its third party text-messaging administrators, will store all messages received on its system.
8. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) is not responsible for service outages, message failures, transmission delays or any other factor affecting the availabilityor performance of the text-messaging service. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the contest if, in the sole discretion of Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com), it is impossible or impractical to complete the contest as planned for any reason, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
9. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com), at its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. If Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) determines that any entry contains false, misleading or fraudulent information, such entry will be disqualified. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may require, on request, proof of identity as to the rightful owner of the phone number from which the text-message entry was sent. Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry if that entry’s source and sender cannot be reasonably determined.

To win a prize you must reside within the terrestrial signal of Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) as defined by station coverage maps. Coverage maps can be obtained at the Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) offices located at 800 East Nursery St, Butler, MO 64730. All appropriate information in required fields of entry form(s) must be filled out or you may be disqualified.
Contestants who register to participate through a website may be required to produce a printed copy of proof of registration before being allowed to participate in the contest. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) is not responsible for any problems, errors or technical difficulties with the internet or email. All contestants, unless otherwise stated in specific rules, must be 18 years old or older as of the start date of the contest.

PARTICIPATION IN CONTESTS VIA INTERNET STREAM:
The following are specifically related to participation in contests via internet stream on Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) websites. To win a prize you must reside within the terrestrial signal of Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) as defined by station coverage maps. Coverage maps can be obtained at the Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) offices located at 800 East Nursey St., Butler, MO 64730. Due to the nature of programs heard online over the internet, contests heard on Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) internet audio stream are minimally time delayed from over-the-air broadcast, and are run behind the broadcast signal. All internet audio stream contests heard are delayed as much as 30 seconds or more. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) ontests requiring a specific caller to telephone the radio station (ie. “Caller number 10 when you hear the sound effect”), may place listeners to online audio stream at a disadvantage to those listeners receiving the contest via over-the-air broadcasts. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) makes no exceptions or allowances for the disadvantage to online audio stream listeners in such contests.
IDENTIFICATION:
In order for a winner to claim a prize, Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may require picture identification. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may require any or all of the following; driver’s license, state ID, passport and/or birth certificate. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) requires a contestant to truthfully respond with all pertinent information it deems necessary for station records, including but not restricted to: legal name, address, telephone number, birth date and social security number. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) may disqualify a contestant immediately upon learning the contestant has responded with false information.
Type:
For trivia-related or game-related contests, winners must supply the “answer that we’re looking for” to win. Decision of the studio judge is final. For sweepstakes-related contests, registration forms must contain all information requested in a legible manner.
Change:
Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com)reserves the right to extend the contest if it so desires. Bates County Broadcasting Co (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) reserves the right to make necessary changes to the contest rules and procedures. In the event of any dispute pertaining to a contest, the decision of Bates County Broadcasting Co. (KMAM-AM, KMOE-FM, 921News.com) management is final.
OTHER:
