2 people were killed and 1 seriously injured in a head-on 2-vehicle crash on MO-291 in Cass County on Wednesday, May 24th.
Troopers were called to MO-291 Highway at 231 Street, just north of Harrisonville, around 6:30 a.m. to investigate a head-on collision between two vehicles. Investigators said one car crossed the centerline through a curve at Home Farm Road.
Troopers said one person died at the scene and Missouri Highway Patrol crash reports confirm that a second person taken to the hospital in critical condition has also died. A third person has a “disabling injury” according to law enforcement.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing and crash investigators are still looking into the circumstances that led up to the fatal crash.
