The Butler community will soon be losing another business, Dusty Attic, Antique and flea market in butler has announced their closing date of Saturday, Sept 3rd.
The building currently housing the Dusty Attic has been sold to a new owner. Therefore, the Dusty Attic will be closing. At the time of this news report, we do not know what the new owner intends to do with the building.
The Dusty Attic will be open until Sept 3rd, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from noon until 5pm and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for 10am until 5pm, closed on Sundays.
Special at the Dusty Attic include all red tag items are 20% off and all literature is half price. There will be an auction after the Dusty Attic closes on Sept. 10th and 17th to sell any remaining antiques and items.
A little history on the Dusty Attic, Antique and Flea Market of Butler. Dusty and Jean Rhoades opened the Dusty Attic 30 years ago and named it after Dusty. The store became a passion of Dusty’s so after his passing in 2008, Jean and her daughter, Sue Baptista decided to keep the Dusty Attic open in Butler to honor Dusty.
Jean hasn’t quite decided what she is going to do with her time, but Sue will be working full time at Bates County Memorial Hospital.
