On 10/10/2022 at approximately 0545 hrs Bates County Dispatch received a 911 call of a shooting that just occurred at 4075 NE CR 3 Butler Mo. The location is just outside the city limits of Butler.
The victim had a gunshot wound to his leg and was transported by EMS to Research Hospital in stable condition. Prior to being transported the victim alleged that he was getting into the passenger side of a vehicle when another vehicle drove pass the house and fired several shots toward him.
The victim stated the vehicle was a weird looking dark in color suv. A second person at the residence stated he thought the vehicle was a pickup truck.
Additional Deputies and Detectives were called to the scene to assist in the investigation. The Sheriff’s Office believes this to be a targeted shooting at this residence and does not believe there to be an immediate threat to the general public.
