Jami Page, Bates County Clerk, is seeking interested persons to serve as election judges for the April 4th municipal election and for future elections. You are eligible to be an election judge if you are a registered voter, enjoy serving the public and can endure long hours on election days.
Election judges perform duties that include preparing the polling place for voting, checking in voters, maintaining a secure election process, and closing the polls. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. You will be required to be at the polls at 5:30 a.m.
Election judges are paid a minimum of $175.00 per election, $20.00 for the training session, and mileage.
