The Missouri Highway Patrol along with the Bates County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway AA and County Road 6001 on Monday, August 8th at 3:28pm.
The accident occurred as two vehicles were traveling Northbound and a 1988 Mack, driven by Michael Willis, 35 of Archie, slowed to a stop at the intersection. The 1993 White GMC, driven by Tony Radford, 42 of Butler, failed to stop and struck the rear on the Mack.
Tony Radford was transported to Cass Regional by Bates County EMS. Mr. Radford succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced at Cass Regional.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by J’s Southland
