Regretfully, the FM-92 Bargain Buy Show scheduled for this Thursday, April 16th has been canceled. Due to the Coronavirus, almost all area businesses and attractions have been closed. Therefore, FM-92 will not host a Bargain Buy Show for April. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
