Freedom will be at Adrian 911 Ceremony

Coroner Greg Mullinax has always wanted to do something special for the Adrian Fire Departments September 11th Ceremony, but he struggled to find just the right thing to do.

Like most of us, Sept. 11th is a day to remember the victims, families, and first responders whose lives were changed forever that day.

September 11th is a sacred day for Coroner Greg Mullinax as he remembers the victims, families, and first responders but he also thinks of the coroners and medical examiners who were traumatized forever also.

For all those reasons Greg Mullinax almost never misses the solemn ceremony in Adrian every year.

This year Greg has found a way to honor those affected by September 11th.

He has invited his friend Jake Benson and Jake’s famous horse Freedom (registered name: Visions Enduring Freedom) to the Adrian Fire Department 911 ceremony on Saturday.

Jake is a Firefighter/EMT first responder himself and has found a unique way to honor the fallen and their families. It is pretty obvious Freedom knows exactly what he’s doing too.

Jake and Freedom will be with Greg Mullinax in Adrian on Saturday.

The photo will show you one of the reasons Jake and Freedom are so well known.
