On September 18, 2022 just after 7PM the Coroner’s office responded to the Bates County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department.
Earlier in the evening EMS and law enforcement had responded to a possible medical emergency at the I-49 outer road just south of Archie. Initial report was a male subject was acting erratically.
The subject was treated and transported to the ER where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The decedent is identified as Roger Redman, 45. Mr. Redman is believed homeless and apparently has been for an extended time. Investigation of the cause of death is underway.
The Bates County Coroner’s Office is attempting to identify and locate Mr. Redman’s next-of-kin. His last known location and associations are possibly around the state of Virginia.
