Harrisonville: Fatal House Fire Victims Identified

Fatal House Fire South of Harrisonville

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims of the fatal house fire south of Harrisonville on Sunday as 64 year-old Janet M. Strange-Doubledee and her daughter, 23 year-old Sarah F. Doubledee, 23. The Cass County Fire Investigation Team and Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office are still investigating the fire.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton. In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
