Harrisonville Promotes the Community Education Workshops Scheduled for February

Community Ed to host day of workshops

The Cass Career Center Community Education program will offer a day of workshops in February with a variety of classes including bullet journaling, kids sewing, intro to computers, and quilting.  The event will take place on Feb. 17 and the marquee workshop will feature KMBC meteorologist Bryan Buby kicking off a series of classes on weather and storm chasing.

Registration is now open for the Good Neighbors, Strong Community event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Ray-Pec High School .

Speakers and break-out sessions will include topics related to family support, mental health, safety, healthy relationships, and bully and suicide prevention. You may attend specific presentations or come for the entire day.   The event is open to all.

Dr. Chris Habben, president, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists

Carey Casey with the National Center for Fathering

AJ Crabill, deputy commissioner, Texas Education Agency
