The City of Butler is accepting applications for a full-time position of Utility Clerk. The starting probationary wage is $11.OO per hour with a pay adjustment after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period. Employer paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance are provided. The position is covered by MO LAGERS retirement system. Successful candidates should have experience in clerical work, data processing, accounting, cash handling, answering phones and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Having a background in accounting or business would be a preference. Pre-employment and random post-employment drug testing are required. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
