Home Invasion in Henry County

On December 17, 2019 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Cpl Swindell was dispatched to Olive Street in Calhoun regarding a home invasion.  At the residence, the elderly female homeowner told Cpl. Swindell that people had entered here home, tied her up and left with her purse and her vehicle.  Detectives Kubilus and Lawson responded to the scene to assist.  The victim, was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by ambulance for evaluation of possible injuries.  While investigation the scene, deputies followed information that led them to the victims stolen vehicle and later to a residence in Calhoun.  A suspect, 17 year old Colby Thornton, was arrested on a 24 hour hold for burglary in the 1^st degree, third degree kidnapping and stealing.  Thornton remains in custody at the Henry County Detention Center.  The investigation is on-going and additional suspects are being sought this morning regarding this incident.
