Hume News

The community of Hume wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Frances Pruitt.  She left a wonderful legacy to all her family friends.  Many were the recipient of her many beautiful talents.  She will be greatly missed by all.

The community of Hume also wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Edith Schapeler.  I remember always seeing her at the Hume Fair at the Bean Feed and the Draft Horse Pull.  She too will be great missed by all.  Both these ladies will long be remembered.  Please keep both of these families in your prayers as they face the days ahead.

The O5O Dinner was canceled this month due to illness.  They look forward to having it in December providing everyone is well.

Santa Claus will be making a stop in Hume in December, be sure and watch for the date.

The Hume After Prom Committee is very busy planning various events to help sponsor the 2020 Junior/Senior Prom.  There will be a Holiday Silent Auction of Homemade Baked Goods and Take and Bake on Tuesday, November 26 at 5:00 p.m.  The Hume Hornets Basketball teams will be hosting Appleton City that evening.

Also the Committee is once again planning a Mistletoe Market on Sunday December 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hume School.  You can come and enjoy chili & soup for a freewill donation and enjoy getting some Christmas shopping done.  There will be various businesses and vendors there for all to enjoy; if there are any vendors still interested in joining in the Mistletoe Market call 660-424-0890 for more information.  This will be an excellent opportunity to help out an organization and get your Christmas shopping done.
