Wednesday evening (8/5/2020) at approximately 9PM Bates County Coroner, Greg Mullinax, was called to the apartments at 400 S. Delaware St. in Butler. Family members had been unable to reach a relative who resided there. Becoming concerned, they contacted the complex supervisor who requested maintenance personnel check on the resident.
The 54 year-old gentleman had passed away in his apartment. The Coroner’s investigation determined the death was due to natural causes. Coroner Greg Mullinax wants to express his appreciation for the professional cooperation of the complex management with Butler Police and his office.
