Local PPG Employees Volunteer to Revitalize State Street Project in Wyandotte County
More than 30 PPG employees and paint contractors will be on-site to revitalize State Street Project, a youth empowerment center in Wyandotte County, through the completion of painting projects as part of the PPG COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ program. (Formerly the Kansas City Kansas Gymnasium)
The PPG Foundation will also present a significant donation on behalf of its architectural coatings business to the State Street Project to fund a 10-week summer science, technology, engineering and math program for up to 100 inner-city students.
Notable Kansas City community members will be in attendance.
PPG Colorful Communities supports projects that transform community assets using donated PPG products, with the goal of enhancing, protecting and beautifying the neighborhoods where the company operates around the world. The company has committed $10 million over 10 years to its Colorful Communities program.
