Landmark Falls in Nevada

Nevada lost a landmark building Tuesday, December 15th as the former Masonic Temple building on the Southeast corner of the square collapsed. Originally constructed in the 1880s as the home of the Citizens Bank, the building housed such businesses as the Bank of Nevada, Ballagh’s Drugstore, Vieth’s Cafe, and the Masonic Temple. The facade underwent a major alteration in the 1940s which gave the building its current appearance.
