The Linn County Sheriff’s Office will resume our VIN Inspection program on September 28, 2022, at 8:00am.
The VIN program was suspended for the move of the Sheriff’s Office and Jail to the Justice Center located at 308 Main Street, Mound City, Kansas.
The VIN program will resume at our new location, we will do VIN Inspections from 8am to 2pm on Wednesday and Thursday of each week, to access the Justice Center for a VIN Inspection you will enter the front entrance (on the south) and you will be directed from there.
As before, you must have a title, valid driver’s license, $20 (cash or check), and the vehicle (it must be operable). We do not inspect Kansas or Salvage titles, only out of State titles accepted for transfer to Kansas.
