Lucas Oil Speedway Now Hiring Job Fair Scheduled

IN NEWS FROM WHEATLAND, Lucas Oil Speedway is offering a variety of employment opportunities for the upcoming season and those interested can apply at the speedway’s annual Job Fair, March 4 at the main office just outside the pit entrance.

The Job Fair will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said positions available include concession workers, cashiers, safety crew, security, go-kart track workers, clean-up crew, jumbotron operator and social media specialist.

“This is an excellent way for area residents to explore being a part of our team and we encourage those interested to come out on March 4th and fill out an application,” Lorton said.

Applicants should bring two forms of identification to the Job Fair and at least one must be a photo ID, such as a driver’s license. Some positions may have age requirements.

Those who are unable to attend the Job Fair on March 4 and stop by the Lucas Oil Speedway office any weekday during business hours and pick up an application there, or they can download an application online and return it to the speedway.

Lucas Oil Speedway’s schedule begins with an open Test and Tune set for March 18 from 2-6 p.m.. The Big Adventure Weekly Racing Series Weekly Opener kicks off the season on March 25. Classes in action include the Hermitage Lumber Late Models, Cedar Creek Beef Jerky USRA Modifieds, O’Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars, and the Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods. The Hermitage Lumber Late Models will be running a special 25-lap $1,000-to-win featured event.
