Lucas Oil Speedway’s UTV Off Road racing action canceled due to wet conditions; dirt track program still a go

WHEATLAND, MO. (May 5, 2022) – Due to extremely wet off-road track conditions and a forecast of more rain tonight and Friday morning, the UTV Off Road Short Course event scheduled for Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway has been canceled.
The next UTV Off Road Short Course racing event at the speedway is scheduled for July 23. There also are events set for Aug. 20 and Oct. 15.
Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said action on the dirt track Saturday night is scheduled to go as scheduled. Vietti Marketing Group and Wild Animal Safari team up to present Round 2 of the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series with all Moms admitted free to commemorate Mother’s Day weekend, courtesy of Vietti Marketing Group.
The Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods are the featured class, running a 25-lap main event for $750 to win courtesy of Clearlight Inn. The Hermitage Lumber Late Models, Cedar Creek Beef Jerky USRA Modifieds and the O’Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars also will be in action Saturday night and Pure Stocks will be on the program as a special guest class, running for $300 to win.
Spectator and pit gates to the dirt track will open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05.
