The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday, June 14th at 7:15am. The accident was located at Route Z, East of Route NN in Henry County.
The accident occurred when a 1999 Ford, driven by Thomas Cowherd 31 of Grandview Missouri, attempted to avoid an animal in the roadway and caused the vehicle to travel off the roadway. The driver then overcorrected, and the vehicle crossed the opposite side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Mr. Cowherd sustained serious injuries and was taken by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
The 99 Ford was towed from the scene by Deepwater Tow.
