McEowen Elementary School In Harrisonville Welcomes New Principal

The Harrisonville Cass R-IX School District is pleased to announce that Beth Love will be the new principal at McEowen Elementary School.

Mrs. Love comes to Harrisonville from the Warsaw School District where she served as the Principal of North Elementary School for one and a half years, and prior to that Mrs. Love was the Principal at Ruth Mercer Elementary for three years. She started teaching in 2004 in the Midway School District where she taught for seven years.  During her time in Midway, she was elected to serve as a STARR (Select Teachers as Regional Resources) Teacher in the Central Regional Professional Development Center. Prior to becoming a principal in Warsaw, she served as a teacher for two years – first as a classroom teacher and then as a Title I teacher.

Mrs. Love earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Graceland University.  She has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education Administration from the University of Central Missouri.  She is currently working on her Doctor of Education in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri. She is currently serving as Vice President of the Central Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals.

Mrs. Love is married to Harrisonville High School Alumni Dustin Love, and they have two children, Sadie and Maggie.  Sadie is currently a third grader and Maggie is three years old.

Mrs. Love will begin her duties on July 1.
