McGennis Fishing Derby, opening of swim, postponed
As it has across the nation and worldwide, the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our lives and routines. That holds true for the McGennis Youth Center.
The annual Fishing Derby and the opening of swim season have been postponed.
The Center remains open for fishing and hiking with visitors expected to respect social distancing standards.
The use of the cabins and shelter houses is by reservation only and will be pending until the release of state guidelines, expected in early June.
Any changes in plans and usage of the Center will be announced in the newspapers, on radio stations and Facebook.
