Believe it or not, we WILL need warm coats before long, so the Bates County “Coats for Kids” project is gearing up to provide brand new coats for over 200 kids throughout the county before the holidays this year.
The staff at DSWA Certified Public Accountants, in partnership with Larry and Carol Ann Winburn of Butler, are taking nominations from area school nurses and teachers, to be sure that every student has a new winter coat or jacket that fits and zips and stands up to the wind and weather. COVID has many families scrambling to make ends meet, so the Winburns are expecting the need to be greater than ever this year.
You can be a part of this campaign by making a donation to Coats for Kids, and you can rest assured that every dollar will be used to purchase coats and jackets for kids from pre-school age through high school right here in Bates County. You may mail your check to the Winburns at 109 Ranch Drive, Butler, MO 64730, or you may drop it by the DSWA CPAs office at 210 West Ohio Street, just off the Butler square.
Every individual who makes a contribution will be entered in a drawing for one of three great prizes early in December. So spread the word. Every dollar is important and appreciated. You can bring proud, warm smiles to over 200 young faces just in time for Christmas this year.
