Metz Banking Company in Nevada Suffers Fire and Smoke Damage Monday, July 1st.

On 7/1/19 around 7:12pm the Nevada Fire Department responded to Metz Banking Company located at 123 N. Osage Boulevard in Nevada.
Upon arrival they found the building filled with smoke and fire was showing in the break room of the first floor.
Nevada firefighters entered the building through the south door and were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
The fire was found to be electrical in nature. The majority of the damage was contained to the break room area of the building. Damage to the structure and contents was estimated at $50,000.

No injuries were reported. The Nevada Fire Department received mutual aid assistance from the Compton Junction and Milo Fire Departments.
The lobby of the bank is closed at this time but the drive through window remains open.
