Missouri Farm Bureau Delivers Food to Ronald McDonald House Charities

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – News media in Columbia, Joplin and Springfield are invited to cover the annual delivery of food items by Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) volunteers to their local Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) locations.

In recognition of Thank a Farmer Week, February 2-8, MOFB is donating non-perishable food items and paper goods to RMHC locations throughout the state. MOFB will also deliver gift cards for use to purchase perishable food items for each RMHC location.

The donations are possible because of the generosity of MOFB members who bring food items and aluminum can pull tabs to the MOFB Annual Meeting each December.  The organization’s Promotion and Education Committee coordinates the collection and deliveries of food items.

Donations benefit families using Ronald McDonald House Charities as a “home away from home” while their seriously ill children receive treatment at local hospitals.

Local county Farm Bureau leaders will make deliveries at the following locations and times:

Columbia: Monday, February 3, 2020, 10:45 a.m.; 3501 Lansing Ave.; RMHC POC Ashlee Smith, (573) 443-7666 x306
