Missouri State Fair Food Drive

Missouri State Fairgoers can gear up for big savings on $2 Tuesday, Aug 17 while making an impact in support of the Missouri Farmers Care Food Drive. Fairgoers receive $2 gate admission this day with a minimum donation of 2 cans of food or a $2 donation.

In addition to $2 admission, most carnival rides will be just $2 and select vendors and concessions will offer $2 specials.

Missouri FFA will host their Food Insecurity Service Day on Aug. 17, with over 900 FFA members who share a heart of service to those in need. Their goal is to reduce childhood food insecurity in Missouri and pack 200,000 child-friendly meals in honor of Missouri’s 200th birthday that will be distributed to six food banks across our state.

A stop by the Agriculture Building will provide more information about food insecurity at the canned food display constructed of 3,000 cans of food donated by Woods Supermarket. All cans used in the display will be added to the food drive collection and head to food banks following the Fair.

Fairgoers can mark their calendars for Aug. 17 and help support a worthy cause while saving big bucks on $2 Tuesday. “Our Missouri Celebration” is Aug. 12-22 in Sedalia at the 2021 Missouri State Fair!
