Stockton, Mo.- More weeds are invading our pastures and reducing available acres for cattle to graze. “Reducing weeds in pastures increases grazable acres for cattle which should improve pasture utilization and profit potential for the cattle operation,” says Patrick Davis Regional MU Extension Livestock Field Specialist. “Also, profit potential can be improved by incorporation of forages and better cattle grazing management,” says Davis.
University of Missouri Extension will be providing a Pasture and Forage Management Workshop at 6:00 p. m. on March 21st at the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Office at 1303 South Highway 32, El Dorado Springs, Mo. MU Extension Agriculture Field Specialist will be covering the following topics:
- Pasture Weed Control and Improvement
- Forage Alternatives and Cattle Grazing Management
The workshop will be limited to 10 participants, masks will be required, and social distancing will be practiced in accordance with MU Extension COVID-19 guidelines.
