The Missouri Highway Patrol with the assistance of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday, June 14 at 7:52am on MO 7 at Route U.
The accident occurred when a 2021 Kia, driven by Doreen Gibbons 58 of Clinton Missouri, failed to yield at a stop sign. The Kia turned into the path of and was struck by a 2012 Ford, driven by Danna Leimkuehler 52 of Clinton Missouri.
Doreen Gibbons received serious injuries and was taken by air EMS to CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence.
Danna Leimkuehler received minor injuries and was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center by EMS.
Two occupants with Leimkuehler an infant male and 4-year-old girl both from Urich Missouri, had minor injuries and were taken by private vehicle to Cass Regional Medical Center.
The Ford was towed from the scene by Deepwater Towing and the Kia was towed from the scene by Cole Tire and Battery Tow.
